This thesis research work focuses on the analysis of the finished product dispatch process of a steel company with the aim of improving its productivity through the Lean Six Sigma methodology. The need to improve the productivity of the aforementioned process arises from improving the level of dispatch service and thus improving the delivery times of orders to customers, which is one of the weaknesses of the area today. The process of dispatch of finished products from the warehouse has characteristics that make its population have to differentiate itself, whether due to the type of product that is dispatched, the type of cargo they carry, the type of machinery with which the trucks are loaded. or the route that the trucks make within the warehouse, so it will be necessary to verify the best way in which the information has to be collected to obtain results according to the need for the process. The tools that will be used in the desired improvement combine Lean and Six Sigma, which are powerful and modern methodologies for solving these types of problems, in addition to complementing each other, directly attacking the variability and stability of the process. The measurement of the results will be carried out through operational indicators such as productivity, operating expenses, attention capacity and the attention time of the units, also called residence time; and economic indicators such as NPV, IRR and Recovery Period to show if the project is feasible to carry out and does not generate cost overruns and / or losses.
