The study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and use of emergency oral contraception in adolescents aged 14 to 17 years from the hamlet of Rumococha, district of San Juan Bautista, Iquitos 2021. The approach was quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional; The population consisted of 294 adolescents and the sample was 167. The technique used was the survey, the instrument a questionnaire of knowledge and use of the emergency oral contraceptive (Validity 80.25% and reliability 81.1%). The results obtained with respect to knowledge were: of the 100% (167) adolescents, 85.0% (142) presented deficient level of knowledge, 12.6% (21) level of regular knowledge and 2.4% (4) level of good knowledge. Likewise, 10.2% (17) adolescents and 89.8% (150) do not use the Emergency Oral Contraceptive; of 100% (17) adolescents, 76.5% (13) misuse Emergency Oral Contraception and only 23.5% (4) make it correct. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between the knowledge and use of emergency oral contraception (p = 0.002 < α=0.05) in adolescents aged 14 to 17 years, from the hamlet of Rumococha.
