With the arrival of new technologies, changes have been generated in the lives of all people, both personally and professionally. Journalism does not escape this, which is why today the exercise of this profession is no longer confined to traditional media such as radio, television and newspapers. The internet has opened up many job possibilities, to the point where you can generate income from your home desk with just a computer. That is why, in a generation where more and more internet and less traditional media are consumed, it has been almost an obligation for professions such as journalism to begin to venture into different platforms such as social networks and websites, with the aim of not being outdated and attract new audiences. In the present investigation, we seek to provide information and make known as a branch of journalism, in this case sports journalism, is adapting to venture into a digital platform that is growing exponentially, especially for young audiences. This is the streaming platform, Twitch.tv, which has tools that facilitate the generation of content and interaction with the audience, factors that attract many people and encourage, in this case, professionals in the field of sports journalism to try something new and different that gives them certain advantages and benefits over other media.
