Abstract: Esta investigación busca conocer las representaciones sociales de violencia de género hacia las
mujeres en la comunidad de Sangarará, que es una población rural andina de la Provincia de
Acomayo en la Región de Cusco. Participaron en este estudio mujeres y varones residentes de la
comunidad de Sangarará. Se realizó desde el paradigma cualitativo de la investigación, y se
utilizó la entrevista semiestructurada como técnica de recolección de datos. Los resultados
hallados se organizaron en cinco representaciones sociales, la primera corresponde a las
manifestaciones sobre violencia directa, la segunda al reconocimiento de lo femenino, la tercera
a las masculinidades, la cuarta a la participación femenina en espacios de decisión comunal, y
finalmente la quinta es sobre la invisibilización de la violencia hacia la mujer en la comunidad.
This study aims to know the social representations of gender violence towards women in the community of Sangarará, which is an Andean rural population of the Acomayo District in the Cusco Region. Female and male residents of the Sangarará community participated in this study. It was carried out from the qualitative paradigm of the research, and semi-structured interview was used as a data collection technique. Results were organized in five social representations, the first corresponds to the manifestations about direct violence, the second to the recognition of the feminine, the third to masculinities, the fourth to the female participation in spaces of communal decision, and finally the fifth is about the invisibility of the violence towards women in the community.
