This research seeks to establish the effect of the application software in learning WIRIS exponential functions in mathematics course I students in junior Ricardo Palma University. The methodology is quantitative cut, experimental and quasi-experimental design is. The sample consisted of 60 students of the first cycle of the University Ricardo Palma (30 experimental and 30 control group) who were applied a test of knowledge of exponential functions in mathematics course I two initial stages called pretest and a final call posttest, both the control group and the experimental group to see the effect of WIRIS software in learning exponential functions. To determine the validity of the assessment instruments made by expert judgment and reliability by statistical technique Kuder Richardson 20, the results were 0.72 and 0.74 respectively for each of the tests administered. By contrast statistical hypothesis testing T_ Student we were used for independent samples and related to a confidence level of 95%. According to the results, the bilateral sig (p-value) is 0,000, and was less than the value of significance 0.05. So the null hypothesis was rejected. Why we conclude that there is significant effectiveness of software WIRIS in learning exponential functions in students of junior Ricardo Palma University.
