Pain is the most common discomfort in patients who have undergone surgery.1 With a worldwide prevalence in hospitalized patients of 26.0 to 33.0% in moderate to severe intensity, and that of severe pain is between 8.0 and 13.0%.3, 4 Intrathecal morphine administration with doses of 100 has shown a marked decrease in pain intensity scores in the first 24 hours.5 Thus, the objective of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of the use of intrathecal morphine in post-hysterectomized patients, asking ourselves whether it is safe and effective to use it for analgesia in post-hysterectomy patients at the Regional Hospital of Loreto 2020 ?. In this way, we focus on improving analgesic management in surgeries with symptoms of moderate to severe pain, with post-hysterectomy being those that present in great intensity. Pain, according to the IASP (International Association for Study of Pain), defines it as an unpleasant sensory or emotional experience associated with real or potential tissue damage, or described in terms of such damage, this being the most accurate.13 With its physiopathology classification into Nociceptive Pain and this is divided into Somatic and Visceral with perception of pain in relation to aggression, and neuropathic pain that originates as a direct consequence of a disease or injury that alters the somatosensory system.14 Evaluated by VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) of subjective characteristic the most reliable in intensity of pain. 16,17 in addition to being evaluated if they present adverse effects manifested by intrathecal Morphine. 18
