The study area is located within the jurisdiction of the District Municipality of Nauta, capital of the province of Loreto, the same that is located 97 km from Iquitos, 15 minutes from the confluence of the Maranon and Ucayali rivers that give origin to the Amazon. It is located on the left bank of the Rio Maranon, on a hill close to the shore, at 4 ° 27'10 "south latitude and 73 ° 31'50" west longitude, to a height of 128 m The area is located in the northeastern part of Peru, in the natural region called low or Omagua jungle. Politically it is in the Loreto province of Loreto Region. (Araucaria Project XXI - Nauta). The aim of the study was to analyze environmental content of the radio program "Ucamara News" - Radio Ucamara to determine the treatment that gives environmental information. The total respondents expressed prior knowledge of environmental issues; in some cases very basic, to say they manage to give a definition of them consider a way of conserving the environment, so you could say that the news in the study, achieved its informative function. Responsibility, 100% of those involved consider important environmental conservation. Besides pointing to the lack of environmental education is the root cause of the existence of the environmental problems of any kind. Environmental information, most of the surveyed population, specifically 52%, perceived that the agenda is very often addressed issues of environmental pollution. However 30.6% indicating that conservation issues, call strategies, proposals, environmental projects and / or civic participation is also shown; They are also topics of keen interest in the program. Assessment of behavior, with the Likert scale; it was found that the population has a very favorable attitude towards the environment in the study and the information it conveys. Finally, with respect to content analysis of the information issued, must be 36% of contents are directly related to issues of pollution and 34% on conservation issues. The environmental information provided to treatment is limited to describe the events daily, without explain, analyze and explore its causes and consequences: with this the hypothesis in which it is claimed is rejected. And this causes the population there is little awareness, tackle environmental problems. Since no single complaint they arise when there are issues of pollution, but some also suggest possible solutions involving the population directly, by providing the necessary space to give their opinion.
