Resumen: The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between risk factors and ARF in children under 5 years of age at the San Agustín Health Post, 2021. The study methodology used was a quantitative approach, non-experimental cross-sectional design and correlational level. The population and sample consisted of 43 mothers of children under 5 years of age who live in Upis San Agustín. A questionnaire was used as data collection instruments for the risk factors variable and a registration form for the ARI variable; both instruments were validated by 3 expert judgments. The reliability of the instrument was calculated with the Cronbach's alpha coefficient and resulted in a value of 0.739 for the Risk Factors variable, which is why the reliability of the instrument was accepted and for the ARI variable the value of 0.752, which is why it was accepted the reliability of the instrument developed. Results: It was observed that there is a significant relationship with respect to the risk factors variable and the ARI variable. Given that according to Spearman's Rho coefficient its value is 0.077 which indicates that it is a minimal positive correlation. On the other hand, there is also a significant correlation between the biological risk factors dimension and the ARI variable since, according to the Spearman Rho coefficient, it shows a value of 0.067, indicating that there is a positive relationship with a minimal correlation level. Likewise, there is a significant relationship between the environmental risk factors dimension and the ARI variable because the Rho Spearman coefficient is 0.090, indicating that there is a positive relationship with a minimal correlation level. Likewise, there is a significant relationship between the nutritional risk factors dimension and the ARI variable given that the Rho Spearman coefficient is 0.756, indicating that there is a positive relationship with a good level of correlation. Finally, there is a significant relationship between social risk factors and ARI according to the Rho Spearman coefficient of 0.631, indicating that there is a positive relationship with a good level of correlation. Key Words: Risk factor, Acute Respiratory Infection, Children.
