ABSTRACT The growth of the Peruvian economy is reflected in many economic indicators, such as the employment example; An indicator that currently shows the increase in jobs and raising family income; However, in some populations this increase in employment is variable, some are optimal and in some cases lack opportunities, such as the Tintaya Marquiri Community, which is located 15 minutes from the Province of Espinar, capital Yauri, Department of Cusco, where the Minera de Antapaccay and prior to it, the Xstrata Tintaya Mining Company, currently operates, according to the research carried out in this thesis, the aforementioned mining companies, Minimum of direct jobs, between 2009 and 2012 by 0.003% and the years 2013 to 2015 generates a percentage of 0.017, points us not very significant and encouraging percentages with respect to direct employment (some type of contract with the Same Company). However it is determined that a percentage between the years 2009 to 2012 is 0.63 and from 2013 to 2015 is 0.613, generate jobs indirectly, this through third parties or some kind of commerce, services provided by the population. Therefore, the population of Tintaya Marquiri indirectly obtain employment through services and sub-contractor companies that work with the Mining Company (Antapaccay and Xstrata Tintaya), and through these companies generate jobs in favor of the residents.
