The amount of vehicles in the city comes along with population growth, traffic congestion a real urban problem, today roadway infrastructure and urban planning is really important to solve lost travel time. The objective of the present research, is to determine road capacity and level of service at the following signalized intersections: Velasco Astete avenue, entrance to Velasco Astete airport, Los Rosales street, Velasco Astete avenues (exit from the airport), Velasco Astete avenues and Gardenias street, Via de Evitamiento avenue and access to Agua Buena applying the HCM 2010 methodology Determination of traffic conditions was conducted at the intersection before mentioned. Traffic analysis was carried out considering the peak hour of the day. Likewise, geometric conditions of the intersections, slope and road section was defined according to field condition. Finally, a detailed signing inventory was performed to register all traffic control devices. After the processing the information collected, data was obtained and used to calculate the road capacity and service level based on the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM 2010), a macroscopic simulation software Synchro 8.0 allowed us to perform the estimate the real state of delay for the present and future conditions. The projection of future traffic volume to 20 years was performed to evaluate future traffic and test solutions. Road capacity and service level was obtained for each case.
