Medical records are very necessary in healt facilities.They are indispensable when it comes to diagnosis, treatment, and follow up of patients. Due to the fact that this document goes through different specialists, the possibility of having errors is very high. This research was conducted in order to assess medical records filled by students. The research has conceived to determinate the recording quality of the clinical reports in the Estomatologic Clinic Luis Vallejos Santoni of the Andean University of Cusco, semesters 2018 I – II. Methodologically the investigation had a quantitative, non-experimental, observational, retrospective and cross-sectional approach. The sample was integrated by 574 clinical reports, selected by a simple random sampling test, using the Epidat computational program. The instrument was composed by a data collecting sheet specifically made for the study; to determine the recording quality, the investigator employed the Health Technical Policies for the Healthcare Quality Survey granted by the Peruvian Health Ministry at 2016. The data was registered employing an Excel 2010 spreadsheet; the data processing was made by the usage of the SPSS 24.0 program employing descriptive statistics to determine frequency distributions and central tendency measures.The results showed that the 74.5% of the clinical reports need to get improved, a 23% have been appropriately fulfilled and the remaining 1.6% is defective
