This research verifies the influence of education, work experience and gender on income of workers in the labor market of Cusco in 2010-2014. That is, an assessment of the rates of return to education is carried out. The research is longitudinal type of trend and the database is cross-section; in order to find the results the earnings funtion model proposed by Jacob Mincer is applied with the basic specification and alternative specifications for the purpose of determining the rates of return to education by academic levels and complete and incomplete academic levels. Furthermore, in order to correct problems of sample selection bias the methodology proposed by James Heckman is also applied. The results show that the levels of education, be males and years of work experience do influence the incomes of workers in the department of Cusco, but the results vary for each educational levels.
