The technique used was the survey, the instrument was the teaching styles questionnaire, based on Martínez Geijo (2002), which was validated at the University of Concepción, Chile. The results showed that the preferred styles are open and functional, which agglomerate 84% and 92% in the high and very high levels respectively, concluding that the teachers are mostly creative, dynamic, in favor of changing their teaching methods, promote debate in classes, which are constantly innovating and concerned about putting ideas into practice, it is also sustained that the success of the teaching work will be determined by the ability to combine the styles in question, in addition to the structured and formal styles in function of students' learning styles. Regarding sociodemographic characteristics, it is concluded that teachers in the Millennials category prefer the functional and open style, both with 92%, while Generation X and Baby Boomers have a greater inclination for the functional teaching style.
