In the present investigation hydrologic alteration in the Amazon Basin based on the analysis of the number of daily flow of 14 hydrometric stations with a period of 39 years (1974-2012) was performed, making the characterization of the temporal and seasonal variability these series, the extreme values (Qmin and Qmax) and means (Qmed) series were determined to establish the trend of the period using the Mann - Kendall modified (MKm). The IHA metrics are analyzed from the values of minimum and maximum flow (3, 7, 30 and 90 days), baseflow (minimum of seven days / media), the Julian dates, number and duration of high flow events and low and rates of rise and fall of hydrograph components that flow analysis allowed to determine the regional evolution of flows throughout the Amazon basin. The obtained results showed that the Qmin presented a general decrease in the trend of the stations except for the extreme north, south and east, the Qmed and Qmax no significant change; analysis IHA metrics show a decrease of the minimum flow throughout the Amazon Basin with a significance of 99%, the maximum flow showed an increase for central stations with 95% significance, baseflow shows a decreasing trend except for the extreme north, south and east. The high pulse showed a positive trend with a short duration for South and Central stations of the Amazon basin.
