The experiment took place at Don Germán farm (IRD coast), Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina. Four foliar fertilizers were evaluated in watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) cv. Peacock .Foliar fertilizers evaluated were: Cal 40, Ajifol plus, Sequential full emulsion Nutrisil magnesium. Two check treatments were included, one with no fertilization at all, and one with soil fertilization using 233-184-150 kg/ha of NPK. A randomized complete block design with four replications was used. The variables evaluated were: length and average diameter of the watermelon fruits , foliar dry matter content, total number of fruits and total weight.. The highest yield was obtained with Ajifol plus (51607.1 kg / ha) and witrh Cal 40 (51160.7 kg / ha), both did not differ significantly from each other, but had significant difference with the control with no fertilization (32700 kg / ha). The highest number of fruits per hectare was obtained with the application of Ajifol plus with 5446 fruits per hectare, followed by the full Sequential with 5357 fruits per hectare, both with no statistical differences. Control with no fertilization showed only 3393 fruits per hectare. Best average fruit length was obtained with Full sequential foliar fertilizer (37.5 cm) and the Ajifol Plus (37.17 cm). Highest foliar dry matter content was observed using Ajifol Plus (19.48%). Other variables showed no significant differences.
