In this project, the proposal for a cost management model for a business sector in Lima is prepared. This was done through research in the printing sector, which aimed to learn about the processes and activities carried out by the Micro and Small Businesses of Lima. What was found in the research was that the Lima printing sector presents a current situation, from the point of view of costs, very precarious, because they have little use of information technologies, do not have records of costs of their processes in general, there is no basic costing system, etc. Based on an information survey, through in-depth interviews, it was concluded that the application of a cost management model would greatly help this sector to develop and grow. In this sense, the proposed management model was to apply costing based on activities, by generating a tool and procedure to apply a costing model in an easy and didactic way for this type of companies. Finally, the project is validated by authors with experience in the sector and in the applied topic. The impacts measured were very favorable for the sector that is the most affected stakeholder.
