In this thesis entitled "EVALUATION OF QUALITY OF LIMESTONE OPTIMAL FOR PRODUDUCCIÓN OF LIME IN THE GRANTING Colquirrumi 49 B, CAJAMARCA 2016", has conducted studies to evaluate the quality of limestone within the concession Colquirrumi 49 B, purposes of producing quicklime; by geological mapping, sampling of limestone within the concession, gravimetric analysis and complexometric analysis of limestone and loss on ignition and density. The limestones of the concession Colquirrumi 49 B require a geochemical survey to determine the quality. This concession is located in the village of Apán, Bambamarca district, province of Hualgayoc and Cajamarca department; this location has many advantages from the economic point of view, as is the proximity to the various mining units and proximity to the purchase of anthracite coal. For this evaluation has been carried out experimental research with descriptive cross- sectional design and application; the 15 samples of limestone; coming to the conclusion that according to the mapped geology in the concession, only the geological formation Cajamarca made optimal for generating quicklime limestone is evident, as well as the complexometric analyzes the composition of the three samples are similar and good quality. In the calcination step, limestone entering the baking oven in order to become CaO is very homogeneous having measures between 20 cm and 50 cm this being favorable time to obtain quicklime, noting that the high percentage CO2 and H2O of quicklime which is in a 13.20%.
