Resumen: This study is entitled purchasing management in the area of logistics Hospital Vitarte, Ate, Lima, 2015, scientific study general object was to determine the importance of procurement management in the logistics area. It stresses that the management of purchase includes purchase request, supplier selection, the issuance of the purchase order to the supplier, tracking and receipt of purchase, population consisted of all employees of the different sub areas of the Logistics area, with a population of seventeen people. The sample was equal to the population because of their small number of employees in the area. The type of design was not experimental because I was not manipulated variables only the importance of the variable identified; its timing is cross-sectional because data were collected at the same time, the type of research is descriptive. Inclusion criteria taken into account in the subjects of the sample are administrative workers both department heads and sub areas as technical staff who also perform internal service of both sexes. In Exclusion criteria, to care areas because no human health issues directly touched were excluded, were not excluded anyone shopping area because it is a very small population of 17 people. The research technique was the survey and the instrument applied was the questionnaire, Likert scale, a survey of 61 items.
