Título: CONOCIMIENTO SOBRE PARASITOSIS INTESTINAL EN MADRES CON NIÑOS DE 2 A 5 AÑOS. CENTRO DE SALUD SANTIAGO – ICA, 2019

Resumen: Objetive: Determine the leve lof knowledge about intestinal parasites in mother with children from 2 to 5 years old, in the Santiago Health Center – Ica, during the period from March – October of the year 2019. Material and Methods: Descriptive, the sample was represented by 93 mothers with children aged 2 to 5years old, for the collection of information,the survey technique was used and as an instrument a questionaire on knowledge of intestinal parasitosis, the data were analyzed through the statistical program SPSS version 22, the tables and graphs are presented in Excel 2013. Results: The leve lof general knowledge about intestinal parasitosis is low in 26.9% of mothers,58.1% medium and 15,1% high; in its dimention of conceptual aspects, 63,4% have a liw level of knowledge 19,4% average and 17,2% high in its dimention of clinical manifestations, 22,6%of the mothers have low leve lof knowledge, 59,1% average and 18,3% hihg; high; about 23,7% of the transmition pathways of intestinal parasitosis have low, 57% medium and 19,4% high knowledge; About the prevention of intestinal parasitosis, 41,9% of the mothers have low level of knowledge 39,8% medium and 18,3 % high. Coclusion: The level knowledge about intestinal parasitosis is medium (x̄=12,98), as well as its dimention in concetual aspects (x̄=2,22), clinical manifestations (x̄=3,92), through transmission(x̄=3,90), prevention measure (x̄=2,93).
