The relation that the somatotype can have with the energetic consumption and the adequate contribution of macronutrients in the sportsmen, will influence very much in its sportive performance, but when there is scarce information on this relation for most of the sports, and being thus even more complex if we require that this be more specific as for example by age group, the need arises to investigate and deepen on this topic. The objective of the research was to determine if there is a relationship between the somatotype and the energy consumption and macronutrients of school volleyball players. The method used in the somatotype was the measurement of weight, height, BMI, skin folds (medial calf, triceps, subscapular and supraspinal), perimeters (relaxed arm and flexed arm) diameters (Bicepicondylar of the Humerus and Femur); for the estimation of energy consumption and macronutrients the 24-hour reminder and the frequency of food consumption. It was found that there is no statistically significant relationship between the components of the somatotype with the adequacy of energy consumption and macronutrients the average energy consumption was 82%, protein 101%, lipids 79% and carbohydrates 73%. That is to say, they only cover three quarters of their daily energy requirement, causing a negative influence on the sports performance of adolescents
