The study aimed to determine to what extent the implementation of educational strategies will strengthen knowledge, attitudes and practices on breast cancer prevention in women of childbearing age in the native community of Wayku-Lamas, December 2018 - May 2019. A pre-experimental applied research and prospective data collection was carried out. The sample consisted of 28 women of childbearing age; the instruments used were a questionnaire with dichotomous responses for knowledge and practices and a Likert-type test for attitudes. Results: 57.1% belong to the age group 31-49 years; 60.7% have primary education; 89.3% are housewives; 53.6% are partners. Baseline characteristics on breast cancer prevention of women of childbearing age in the Wayku-Lamas native community: 50.0% had medium level of knowledge; 25.0% presented high level of knowledge. 46.4% had an indifferent attitude; and 25.0% had an unfavorable attitude. 53.6% had adequate practices; 46.4% had inadequate practices. The inferential statistic reports a statistical significance of p≤ 0.05 for knowledge, attitudes and practices; therefore, the study hypothesis is accepted, the implementation of educational strategies significantly strengthens knowledge, attitudes and practices on breast cancer prevention in women of childbearing age in the native community of Wayku - Lamas. In the initial stage, women's basic knowledge about breast cancer prevention predominated, which changed positively after the end of the educational intervention. It is included in the present study, "Educational strategies, breast cancer prevention; Tarapoto - Peru" Conclusion: The application of educational strategies contributed to the strengthening of knowledge, attitudes and practices on breast cancer prevention in women of childbearing age in the native community of Wayku-Lamas.
