The objective of this research was to evaluate the impact of agricultural activities in the headwaters of the Almendra micro-watershed on the quality of water resources in the district and province of Moyobamba. According to the research process the following methodology was taken into account: the research belongs to the quantitative approach; of scope or correlational level; with a non-experimental design; the conclusions obtained were: The agricultural activities that are developed in the headwaters of the Almendra micro-watershed are the cultivation of coffee, cocoa, corn, and cattle grazing activities (cattle ranching), as well as those of bread to go that involve small-scale crops of cassava, banana, papaya, sugar cane and avocado that together make up a considerable group; It has been verified that agricultural expansion has stagnated and that in some cases it has reduced the hectares of land used. It has also been concluded that agricultural activities do have an impact on water quality, the most representative being livestock (cattle grazing), it was observed that only the bacteriological parameters (Heterotrophic Bacteria, Thermotolerant Coliforms and Total Coliforms) exceed the ECAs (due to the livestock residues they become pollutants that are easily dragged by runoff and quickly into the water body), while from the evaluation of the phyco-chemical parameters it was observed that they do not exceed the ECAs.
