The study was carried out to evaluate the adaptive process response of three varieties of red onion (Allium cepa L.), under the climatic conditions of the district of Lamas. The purpose of this study was to analyze the agronomic behavior of three varieties of Arequipeña, Camaneja, Criolla onion and determine which of the three varieties of red onion (Allium cepa L.), has a greater response in the process of adaptability, its incidence in productivity and performance the economic analysis of the varieties studied. This research was carried out at "El Pacífico" experimental field, in the Province of Lamas. To evaluate the results, the Experimental Design of Complete Blocks Random was used with three treatments and four replications. Mean comparisons of the treatments were obtained through the Duncan test at 5% of probabilities, whose variables studied were: plant height (cm), number of leaves, bulb diameter (mm), bulb height (mm), bulb weight (g), t.ha-1 yield, and economic analysis. The results published in the following investigation were obtained the varieties that obtained the highest response are T2 Arequipeña and T3 Camaneja, obtained higher average yields in t.ha-1 with 35.09 and 29.68 tons per hectare, as well as the benefit-cost ratio of 1.87 and 1.59 nuevos soles.
