Entomopathogenic fungi is an alternative in the integrated management of many pests. The objective of the following research work was to determine the virulence of the native strain of Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill., for potential use as a biological control agent against Syphrea sp (Coleoptera: Chrisomelidae: Alticini), potential pest in Sacha Inchi. The native strain of B. bassiana used was isolated from the same insect studied in the experiment. The virulence of the strain was determined on adults of Syphrea sp captured from fields of Plukenetia volubilis L. and acclimated in laboratory for (30) days, the reactivation of the native strain was carried out in culture medium Papa Sacarosa Agar (PSA) and its production in rice substrate. Four treatments were considered (T0, T1, T2 and T3) and three repetitions using three concentrations 1x105, 1x107 and 1x109 spore g / ml and one T0 with ADE + Tween 20. The mortality expressed in relation to the inoculum concentration was evaluated. estimated by the Mortality Percentage, Lethal Time 50 (TL50), Lethal Time 90 (TL90), and, Mycelial appearance time. The best results were recorded in treatment 3, with mortality corrected by the Abbot formula of (84,85%) at (10) days, TL50 in less time (6,3) days, TL90 with the shortest time (10) days, and (1,2) days for the sporulation of the fungus in humid chambers, considering it a promising alternative for the control of Syphrea sp in Plukenetia volubilis L. when incorporated into an integrated management plan.
