ABSTRACT The main objective of this improvement proposal is to increase the productivity in the production process of ready-mix concrete in the company Mixercon S.A. Independencia headquarters in the 2018 period, for which an initial diagnosis is made that considers the determination of the problems that cause low productivity in the process studied, this by using the Ishikawa Diagram and Pareto Diagram to prioritize the critical factors that They give solution to the general problem. Likewise, management indicators that show the detected shortcomings are evaluated, then analyzed by the use of engineering tools such as flow diagrams, DOP, DAP, route diagram that allow detecting the activities where it is possible to present a plan of improvement that contributes to the increase of productivity in the production process of ready-mix concrete of the company. Currently, there are critical factors that lead to low productivity of the process, such as: the time of activities of the process that is not defined, deficient methods of operation and transfer, the absence of study of times, the deficient distribution of areas of work, as well as poor or inadequate training, lack of staff motivation and the process is not up to date. To solve the general problem, corrective actions for low cost and high impact improvement are presented which contribute to increase the productivity of the process to 28 m3/h monthly, measured through the reduction of times, whose total time was reduced to 07 hours 03 min, the reduction of time It was of 32 min and generated potential savings in labor of S/. 1,300 soles in the process, training compliance was increased to 100%. For this, a simulation of the process was carried out in the Arena® simulation software to determine the new total time of the process, the average time of the process and to check how the actions raised increase the productivity of the process. Finally, it is concluded that the improvement proposal based on corrective actions of improvement in activities identified through the use of industrial engineering tools manages to increase productivity in the production process of ready-mix concrete. A cost of S/. 28,357.84 is incurred, and an economic benefit of S/.297,440.00 is generated, whose economic efficiency is 10.53, which makes the proposed improvement proposal economically viable.
