dedicaron a él.
In Pieter Bruegel’s work we find elements that were for long regarded as antithetic by historiography. What are those elements and why were they perceived as antagonistic? In order to provide an answer to those questions we shall analyze his work, study his context, and entertain a dialogue with the studies focused on him. However, our main objective is to provide an interpretation that reconciles the irreducible multiplicity that inhabits his works, i.e. to stress the heterogeneity and, without nullifying it, to transcend its seeming incompatibility.
