In recent decades, an emerging context of social vulnerability and subtle elements of social organization has arisen among Amazonian groups of migrants in Lima, Peru. The present study seeks to analyze the relationships among psychological empowerment, sense of community, and social, psychological and subjective aspects of wellbeing in a Shipibo- Konibo community. According to data of 63 members of community, correlations, multiples regressions and path analysis were made to clarify their relationships. Results suggested that psychological empowerment significantly affects psychological wellbeing and satisfaction with life. Meanwhile the impact of sense of community on satisfaction with life was mediated by level of community identification. Further, there are significant differences whether participants are male or have local-organization membership. Implications and utility of results were discussed in relation to empowerment theory, identities aspects, and individual and collective needs of community members.
