The new business changes worldwide point to the fact that not only is it enough to fulfill a social responsibility role in the medium in which the company develops, but it is also necessary to be a transparent, informative company that has direct access to customers through digital mechanisms which will generate bonds and a relationship of trust with each one of them through a one-on-one communication style. Corporate transparency is not a new issue to country governments and companies. It is the new positive trend to provide information to all groups of interest, so companies are expected to be more robust and progressive through the openness to their processes and policies that concern customers in the first place, in order to determine if these meet their requirements and expectations to spend or invest in the goods or services they offer. This thesis proposes an index of transparency for Peru that could be applied to all sectors; with the sole purpose of laying the foundations of information’s transparency linearity, processes integrity and therefore eradicate corruption which so afflicts the country. It is desired that Peruvian companies can choose to take this index and thus be at the forefront of the business world sharing a more reliable and accurate outlook for their customers. As an application of this index, the banking sector was taken into account through analyzing the information published on each company’s website, throughout the thesis it will be known how transparent these companies can be according to the proposed scale of transparency index, resulting in a deficient, in progress, acceptable, good and optimum level.
