The main objective of this study is to analyze how the physical-mechanical properties of a clay soil are affected by the addition of concrete specimen breakage residues (CSBR) f'c=210 kg/cm2 at 10%, 30% and 50% for subgrade. Three pits were studied, evaluating plasticity, compaction, support capacity and unconfined compression. The tests included granulometric analysis, moisture content, consistency limits, soil classification according to AASTHO and SUCS, Modified Proctor, CBR and unconfined compression. The most unfavorable pit was selected for the addition of the weight percentage of concrete waste. With the addition of concrete waste, the consistency limits, Modified Proctor, CBR and unconfined compression tests were carried out. The tests were carried out in a soil laboratory following the guidelines of the “Materials Testing Manual” and the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials). The methodology used in this research is quantitative in approach, with a descriptive-explanatory level, using the hypothetico-deductive method and an experimental methodological design. The soil of the 3 pits is classified as CL (Low plasticity clay according to SUCS) and A-6 (8) (clayey particles according to AASTHO). Pit 02 was sectioned as the most unfavorable with the lowest CBR equal to 5.08%. Likewise, two tests were carried out for each addition of CSBR, which means that 10% have a PI of 9.07% and 7.13%, 30% have a PI of 2.26% and 3.04% and 50% do not present IP. From the maximum dry density, it was determined that at 10% addition of CSBR there are 1.91gr/cm3 and 1.93gr/cm3, at 30% it presents DMS 2.08gr/cm3 and 2.02gr/cm3 and at 50% it presents DMS 2.15gr/cm3. cm3 and 2.09gr/cm3. From the CBR we have that at 10% CSBR addition we have 13.24% and 13.54%, at 30% we have 52.18% and 47.20% and at 50% we have 74.49% and 70.47%. From the unconfined compression we have that at 10% addition of CSBR it presents a maximum stress of 1.02kg/cm2 and 1.06 kg/cm2, at 30% it presents 1.13 kg/cm and 1.14 kg/cm2 and at 50% the specimens presented collapse, making it impossible to carry out the test. The research concludes that the addition of CSBR positively influences the physical-mechanical properties of a clay soil, since a decrease in the plasticity index, an increase in the degree of compaction, a notable improvement in CBR and increased resistance to stress.
