Materials and methods: this research will adopt a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental and transversal design, of a descriptive nature. The population studied will include 57 nursing professionals. The observation technique will be used through a checklist, which will allow measuring the frequency of the use of biosafety practices in the emergency area. Results: the findings will be presented through descriptive frequency tables, thus facilitating the understanding of compliance with biosafety practices by nursing staff in the emergency area of the clinic. This graphic representation will allow you to identify areas susceptible to improvement and make appropriate recommendations. Conclusions: the study will provide valuable information on the need for additional measures, such as training and awareness, to strengthen compliance with biosafety standards in health emergency areas.
