This research is the product of a comparative analysis of the Antarctic policies of China and the United States of America. Considering the nature of the international interest, mainly of these two countries and their positions in Antarctica. It also examines the importance of the historical dimension and development of the Antarctic Treaty System. Which, since 1959, has regulated human activity south of the parallel 60° south of the planet, limiting it exclusively to scientific research. The world order today is not the same, actors like China, today have a very different specific weight in the international system, as in the same way in the legal order of International Law and in the Antarctic Treaty System. The Antarctic Treaty has suffered changes, with still outstanding issues to be resolved, as a result of human evolution and the international community. During the research, questions are developed related to what will happen if these current changes modify or repeal the Antarctic Treaty? How will the behavior of China and the US influence the status quo of Antarctica? And What will happen in the revision of the Madrid Protocol in the year 2048? Glimpsed scenarios of change without doubt, achieving that the interests of different actors are worked strategically in the current framework of cooperation and peace in Antarctica, or on the contrary, a scenario of dispute and conflict between the countries. It is demonstrated that without a doubt, the Antarctic Treaty and its system will submit modifications due to the constant changes in humanity and in the international community.
