The malnutrition in kids under 5 years is still a reality that afflicts Peru. Despite the efforts made by Ministry of Health, the anemia and malnutrition rate continue to be elevated, moreover, industrialization affects them with the accessibility of consumption of processed foods because they provide a high content of empty calories, leaving as a result overweight, obesity, and other ills. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of an educational intervention on healthy lunch boxes in preschool caregivers of a public institution, Callao 2023. Metodology: The study was applicative, quantitative, quasi-experimental and cross-sectional. A total of 120 caregivers were involved, the sampling was non-probabilistic by convenience. The attendees were informed about the type of research to be done, signed a consent form and were evaluated before and after the 3 nutritional education sessions that were given at the educational institution. Results: Before the nutritional education intervention on healthy lunch boxes, 77.5% of the interviewees had a low level of knowledge, while after the intervention 67.5% of the population had a high level of knowledge, a statistically significant difference was found before and after the educational sessions (p=0,001). Conclusion: The educational intervention on healthy lunch boxes was effective in improving the level of knowledge of caregivers of children aged 3 to 5 years.
