The general objective of the research was to determine the relationship between coping strategies and anxiety in active soldiers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research design was a descriptive correlational study. The study population consisted of 209 soldiers, ages 18 to 22 in active status, who are part of the voluntary military service, who belong to the 32 Brigade of Trujillo. The instruments used were the Coping Responses Inventory for Adults, created by Moos (2010), and the State Trait Anxiety Inventory, created by Spielberger and Diaz-Guerrero (2007), both obtained reliability by alpha >.70. It was identified that there is no significant relationship (p>.05) between anxiety with coping strategies, logical analysis, positive reappraisal, search for guidance, cognitive avoidance, while a significant relationship was found with solution coping strategies of problem, acceptance or resignation, the search for alternative rewards, and emotional discharge. As similar findings found in other similar investigations.
