Abstract: La investigación tuvo como objetivo general, determinar la relación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y la ansiedad en soldados activos durante la pandemia por COVID-19. El diseño de la investigación fue un estudio descriptivo correlacional. La población del estudio estuvo conformada por 209 soldados, de 18 a 22 años en estado activo, que forman parte del servicio militar voluntario, que pertenecen a la a una regimiento castrense. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron, el Inventario de respuestas de afrontamiento para adultos, creado por Moos (2010), y el Inventario de Ansiedad Rasgo Estado, creado por Spielberger & Díaz-Guerrero (2007), ambos obtuvieron una confiabilidad por alfa >.70.
Se identificó que no existe una relación significativa (p>.05) entre la ansiedad con las estrategias de afrontamiento, análisis lógico, la reevaluación positiva, búsqueda de guía, la evitación cognitiva, en tanto, se encontró relación significativa con las estrategias de afrontamiento solución de problema, la aceptación o resignación, la búsqueda de recompensas alternativas y la descarga emocional. Como hallazgos similares encontradas en otras investigaciones similares.
The general objective of the research was to determine the relationship between coping strategies and anxiety in active soldiers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research design was a descriptive correlational study. The study population consisted of 209 soldiers, ages 18 to 22 in active status, who are part of the voluntary military service, who belong to the 32 Brigade of Trujillo. The instruments used were the Coping Responses Inventory for Adults, created by Moos (2010), and the State Trait Anxiety Inventory, created by Spielberger and Diaz-Guerrero (2007), both obtained reliability by alpha >.70. It was identified that there is no significant relationship (p>.05) between anxiety with coping strategies, logical analysis, positive reappraisal, search for guidance, cognitive avoidance, while a significant relationship was found with solution coping strategies of problem, acceptance or resignation, the search for alternative rewards, and emotional discharge. As similar findings found in other similar investigations.
