The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between the variables Teacher Performance and Formative Assessment according to the secondary students of the VII cycle of a School in Ate. The research belongs to a descriptive, quantitative and non-experimental study. It was a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 140 students divided into 77 women and 63 men with ages between 14 and 17 who belong to 3rd, 4th and 5th grades of secondary school. The instruments applied to obtain the findings were the student questionnaire on Teaching Performance, which was elaborated by the authors, and the student questionnaire on Formative Assessment adapted from Pacheco (2019) divided into regulatory, processual and other dimensions. The type of sample was non-probabilistic, in order that the participants were chosen because fulfilling the requirements and characteristics of the study. The findings revealed that there is a positive, high and statistically relevant correlation, which shows a significant relationship between the variables of Teacher Performance and Formative Assessment. Furthermore, the dimensions of each variable evidenced an essential relationship which shows that a higher Teacher Performance corresponds to a higher Formative Assessment.
