The following study presents the clinical case of a child of 6 years old named Luis and how Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder affects his life, in social, academy and family area. Because of his difficulty in paying attention, he does not follow all the instructions to perform certain activities, makes mistakes, loses school supplies, forgets to bring in assignments on time. He talks excessively with a high tone of voice, has difficulty for waiting his turn and frequently interrupts when someone else is talking. He often begins an activity or task and he does not finish it, he delays copying from the blackboard, avoids constant mental effort situations, generating feellings of worthlessness and dissatisfaction. The first chapter refers general aspects of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder and possible treatments applied to the diagnosis nowadays. The second chapter develops methodological framework, in which the patient´s medical history and the psychological report are detailed. Finally, the third chapter shows the diagnosis, the therapeutic approach used, the recommendations and conclusions reached after the investigation. The annex shows the applied tests.
