The aim of this research was to determine the significant differences in university adaptation during the 2017, 2019 and 2020 periods in psychology students from a public university in Ica. The sample consisted of 73 students during the first year of study in 2017, 64 students in 2019, and 59 students in the last year of study in 2020. This study is descriptive, basic and substantive, and of longitudinal design. The Academic Experiences Questionnaire (QVA - r) was used during the three years of evaluation. The results do not show statistically significant changes in the university adaptation variable during the three years of study. However, it is concluded that there are statistically significant changes in the dimensions of interpersonal adaptation and career adaptation during the periods of 2017, 2019 and 2020. In addition, no statistically significant differences are found in relation to gender or occupation in university adaptation and dimensions, except in 2017, in which students who were studying and working possessed better personal adaptation and institutional adaptation. Finally, within the complementary results and as a result of COVID-19, it is evident that students who have had a close relative with said disease, experience better interpersonal adaptation.
