The main purpose of this study is to analyze and determine how ambivalent sexism occurs in adolescents from two-parent and single-parent families in East of Lima, considering both dimensions of sexism: hostile and benevolent; as well as determine the relationship of the variables according to sex, school grade, sports, and musical preference. This study is of a non-experimental quantitative type, with a transactional, descriptive, and correlational design. The sample is formed by adolescents who are in the first, second and third year of secondary school (n=113). The adaptation of the Ambivalent Sexism Inventory to the population of Lima was used. No significant differences were found in ambivalent sexism in two-parent and single-parent families in the East of Lima, however, it was found that women tend to be more sexist than men in the dimension of benevolent sexism, which can be related to the greater acceptance of myths. about romantic love and gender violence. It is necessary to replicate the research with larger samples and consider the social desirability of the participants.
