The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between family social climate and aggressiveness in students of a police educational institution in Chiclayo. The sample consisted of 323 adolescents of both sexes from first to fifth year of high school. This study is characterized by having a quantitative approach and a correlational design. To collect the data, two measurement tools were used: the Family Social Climate Scale (FES), created by Moos, Moos and Trickett, and the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ), developed by Buss and Perry. The results showed that most of the students perceived a medium-level family social climate (57%). However, a negative trend was identified in family relationships when exploring the different dimensions. In relation to aggressiveness, it was observed that the medium level was the most predominant. However, when examining the aggressiveness subscales, anger stood out as the most significant. The results also revealed a statistically significant correlation between family social climate and aggressiveness (rs = -.39; p < .001). Likewise, a significant association was found between the dimensions of development, stability and family relationships with aggressiveness (p < .05). These findings indicate that adolescents exposed to an inappropriate home environment showed higher levels of aggression compared to those who experienced a healthy and positive home environment.
