This study seeks to publicize the necessary contributions that involve understanding the importance and influence of child temperament in the educational field. It was proposed as general hypotheses to establish if there is a relationship between child temperament and teacher-student interaction. The present investigation is characterized for being of a descriptive level and basic type. A descriptive-correlational design was applied and 90 children from the primary level, 45 girls and 45 boys, as well as teachers from the two first and second grade classrooms respectively, participated. The Child Behavior Questionnaire - Very Short Version and the Teacher-Student Relationship Scale were used to collect data. The results found indicate that child temperament and teacher-student interaction are not significantly related, but significant differences have been found with respect to the following: a) in the conflict dimension and teacher-student interaction according to sex, b) in the conflict dimension and teacher-student interaction according to the degree of instruction, c) in the extroversion dimension and the total score of child temperament according to the students who present difficulty and d) in the conflict dimension and the total score of the teacher-student interaction according to the presence of difficulty.
