In this work, he proposes an adequate method for the design and application of geotextiles and geomembranes in wastewater treatment plants and thus fulfill the function expected of them and achieve a prolonged duration such as building it in the shortest possible time, in addition to fulfilling with the protection of the environment. Presents the development of geosynthetics, with their respective tests, properties, technical specifications for the design of geotextiles and geomembranes. These studies, will allow to make the respective designs, for the geotextile design by function and for the geomembrane design by thickness. With these methods they allow to design an efficient and stable waterproofing system in treatment plants especially in stabilization ponds, where it is composed of a protection medium (geotextile) and another waterproofing (geomembrane), which provides a correct management of wastewater that do not affect the soil mass. The scope of these designs of the geosynthetics (geotextiles -geomembranes) used in the waterproofing and sealing systems of wastewater stabilization ponds in the city of BAÑOS DEL INCA, is safe and controlled, with a correct application and construction procedure specialized and filled on waterproofing systems achieving optimal results and contribute to improve the quality of life of the population and as protection of the environment.
