This research was carried out in the city of Trujillo at the Private University of Trujillo, and aims to design the road maintenance works of the local internal roads of asphalt pavement in the University City of the National University of Trujillo, La Libertad Region, 2019. For this purpose, it is sought to identify the types of faults in the flexible pavement, determine the level of severity of each of them and present the design of the maintenance work; For the realization of the thesis a non-experimental, transversal, descriptive design was used, the sampling was not probabilistic for convenience, the data collection was carried out with the Observation technique, the instrument used was the observation guide, to analyze the Data used is descriptive statistics, the problem is that the internal roads of the University City of the National University of Trujillo have not been maintained for years and have failures because they lack studies to know their conservation status, this causes an upset by users and even risk to human lives and damage to vehicles that transit. As a result, the most common faults in the pavement are: block cracking and edge cracks, and we can indicate that the pavement is in a regular state in general, as maintenance in a sector has been plated to recover the rolling surface with a micropaviment, and in a punctual sector to improve additionally the bearing capacity with a layer of 5 cms of hot asphalt
