This paper seeks to assess the degree of vulnerability to estimate the seismic performance of homes Agallpampa District, before a possible risk of earthquake. The visible danger facing the population, lack of maintenance and care of their homes, and at the request of the people; This paper provides fail-strengthening measures in buildings and seeks to raise public awareness of how vulnerable they are to this reality. The research was conducted in the district of Agallpampa province of Otuzco, department of La Libertad. The study material consists of a simple random sample of nearly 10% of the cottages of Agallpampa District, corresponding to the farmhouses rooms Barrio Puente Balta, which were inspected, evaluated and compared with the types of failures more Frequently in adobe buildings. In our country there is no statistical record of the damage that an earthquake would cause to adobe houses in a vulnerable state, but if there is a history of earthquakes that show us and give reason to say that adobe buildings will always be more vulnerable to difference building from other materials such as reinforced concrete. In order to improve the quality of life of the population this work provides the information necessary to strengthen and guide the population and thus achieve make it less vulnerable to damage caused by earthquakes.
