The present investigation was developed with the objective of determining if the legal physical sanitation of the peasant communities diminishes the social conflicts in the Cajamarca region; provided that regulatory deficiencies are improved, land is titled, administrative costs are reduced and alternative means of conflict resolution are used. The research is quantitative, non-experimental and causal transectional correlational design. 50 lawyers and community members from the Cajamarca Region were taken as a sample; being that two reliable and valid questionnaires were compiled for the data collection of the variables under study, the information was processed using the statistical software for social sciences SPSS V23. The results are presented in tables and statistical figures. As results, it was obtained that the legal physical sanitation of the peasant communities in a 94.0% efficiency decreases the social conflicts in the Cajamarca region, 2018; whenever land is titled, administrative costs are reduced and alternative means of conflict resolution are used; being the coefficient of contingency of the tau-b test statistic of kendall is τ = 0.96, with level of significance less than 1% (P <0.01), the hypothesis is accepted. It was demonstrated that the legal physical sanitation of peasant communities reduces social conflicts in the Cajamarca region; provided that regulatory deficiencies are improved, land is titled, administrative costs are reduced and alternative means of conflict resolution are used; 94.0% of respondents believe that legal physical sanitation promotes the reduction of social conflicts. Likewise, it is recommended the implementation of information, training and advocacy strategies in the bases and the physical and legal sanitation process to determine the importance of the collective title as a mechanism that ensures the territorial legal security of the peasant communities.
