In order to determine the relationship between the learning styles and the self – concept of sixth – grade elementary students of the Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary Education Institutions No. 601486 "Alexander von Humboldt" – Punchana – 2014, conducted a field study, with quantitative method, longitudinal non – experimental descriptive correlational, was worked with all students enrolled in the year 2014 in the 6th. Elementary level of the Educational Institution Initial, Primary, Secondary Minors Nº 601486 "ALEXANDER VON HUMBOLDT" – Punchana – 2014, that made a total of 41 students, whose ages oscillate between 10 and 13 years of chronological age. The technique used was indirect and reactive observation, as instruments were used for the variable Learning Styles the Honey – Alonso "Learning Styles" Test (CHAEA) was applied, adapted to the Latin American reality by Pujol (2008), whose reliability and validity of content was performed by Escurra (1991), for the variable Autoconcepto was used the Scale Questionnaire or Test "Autoconcepto Form 5" (AF5) instrument adapted and validated to the context and Latin American and international reality (2014). The results of the tests were analyzed using descriptive statistics, using absolute frequencies, averages and percentages, with the support of the statistical package SPSS and 20.0 for Windows XP, Vista and Windows. The results obtained show that the students evaluated in terms of learning styles have different styles of learning, predominantly reflective (39%), followed by those who have a pragmatic style (24%), while those with an active style %), finally they are what they have theoretical style (17%); in relation to the levels of self-concept the family and the academic predominate (family: high 54%, medium 29% and low 17%, academic: high 46%, medium 34% and low 20%) followed by those with physical levels , emotional and social, respectively (physical: high 42%, medium 29% and low 29%, emotional: high 37%, medium 34% and low 29%, social: high 31% average 42% and low 11%). It was determined that the learning styles are positively related to the self-concept of the study subjects.
