The research was carried out with the objective of determining the influence of the age of transplant on the agronomic characteristics and yield of the cultivation of Brassica oleracea L. “Cabbage” in the facilities of the Teaching and Research Workshop of Horticultural Plants, of the Faculty of Agronomy of the UNAP. The Random Complete Blocks Design (DBCA) was used, with 4 treatments and 4 repetitions, making a total of 16 plots. The transplant time was in the following order: T1: 15 days, T2: 22 days, T3: 29 days and T4: 36 days. The following evaluations were carried out: Plant height (cm), Plant extension (cm.), Head diameter (cm), Root length (cm), Number of basal leaves, Total plant weight (g/ Plant), Head / plant weight (g) and head yield (Kg / ha). The results obtained allow us to infer that the age of the transplant does influence the agronomic characteristics and performance of Brassica oleracea L. “cabbage”, being the transplant at 15 days (T1), which presented the highest head / plant weight (900 gr.) And the highest plant weight (1900 gr.) Also had the highest head / ha yield with 18000 Kg / ha, so it turned out to be the most profitable, having a utility of S / .24245.00 / he has Result that confirms the general hypothesis that the age of transplantation influences the agronomic characteristics and performance of Brassica oleracea L. “Cabbage”.
