The biomass and carbon stock in a low-hill forest of the district of Indiana, Loreto, Peru, was estimated. The forest census data of 47 commercial species of cutting plot (PC) 2 from the forest management area for timber purposes were evaluated. The results indicate a biomass of 89 916,45 t throughout the evaluated forest, where aguanillo contains the highest amount of biomass of 7556,65 t. In addition, the diametric class of 60 cm to 69 cm reports the highest biomass amount (21 255,51 t), followed by the diameter class of 90 cm to more (18 490,45 t), the diameter class of 70 cm to 79 cm (17 923,98 t) and the diameter class of 50 cm to 59 cm (17 187,83 t), respectively. The carbon stock for the whole forest is 44 958,22 tC, where aguanillo contains the highest carbon stock of 3778,33 tC. The diameter class of 60 cm to 69 cm shows the highest carbon stock (10 627.76 tC), followed by the diameter class of 90 cm to more (9245.23 tC), the diameter class of 70 cm to 79 cm (8961,99 tC) and the diameter class of 50 cm to 59 cm (8593,91 tC). The diametric classes of 40 cm to 49 cm and 80 cm to 89 cm have a lower carbon stock with 1839,31 tC and 5690,03 tC. There is a high positive significant correlation (r = 1) between the variables DBH versus biomass and carbon stock for an α = 0.01 of significance.
