The main objective of this work was: Designing a model to quantify the emissions of carbon dioxide in the burning of fuels, which has address quantitative with level of deepening descriptive correlational. The population of study represent it all the fuels and the type of sampling is not probabilistic in the sole discretion of the investigators, being considered the size of the sample a maximum of 24 mixtures (8 hydrocarbon, 8 alcohol and 8 ester). Sources from where they obtained the data like molar masses of hydrocarbons, esters and alcohols, were thesis of pre and postgraduate course, internet and the program Aspen HYSYS V8.8. The results of the factor of emission of carbon dioxide, obtained intervening the model, compared with the results obtained by means of the simulations in Aspen HYSYS V8.8, getting of the 24 analyzed mixtures, that the minimum and maximum percentage of error are 0,0039% and 0,0946%, which correspond to the mixtures 1 and 7 of alcohols, respectively. This validates the model to quantify the emissions of carbon dioxide in the burning of fuels and in turn tries the general hypothesis. In conclusion, also it was proven that there is relation between the factor of emission of carbon dioxide, the stoichiometric coefficients of carbon dioxide and molar fractions and molar masses of the components of a fuel, which tries every one of the specific hypotheses.
