The total dry biomass and the carbon stock was estimated in this study based on information registered in the inventory of six commercial species from the 250-ha annual cut plot (PCA) 12 of forest concession for logging operations 16-IQU/CJ-193-04, located in the Oroza river basin, Loreto, Peru. The total dry biomass was estimating indirectly using the commercial volume and the basic density for each commercial species. The results show a total dry biomass of 2177,59 t and a carbon stock of 1088,79 tC. Virola sp. Is the species with highest carbon stock of 452,72 tC, while H oblongifolia provides the minimum carbon stock of 89.05 tC, mainly due to factors such as abundance of trees by species, higher commercial volume and the basic density of the species. It is recommended to continue with the estimated CO2 sequestration and economic valorization in order to compare the benefits obtained by the environmental service of CO2 sequestration versus profits from obtained for the sale of logs of the six species.
