OBJECTIVE: To identify adverse events secondary to vaccination in two-month-old children born at the Regional Hospital of Loreto from August to October 2019. METHODS: A quantitative approach study, descriptive type of cross-section, was carried out. Where adverse events described by 91 children 2 months of age after the administration of the corresponding vaccines were described and analyzed according to the national vaccination schedule. RESULTS: It was identified that the predominant sex among the children who were part of the study was the male sex in 56% (51). It was identified that 9.9% (9) do not have a National Identity Document (DNI), only 92.3% (84) are affiliated with the Comprehensive Health System (SIS). Regarding clinical manifestations referred by the mother, 13.2% (12) presented abscess at the injection site, 44% (40 children) had pain and redness of more than 3 days at the injection site, 84.6% ( 77) presented a thermal rise after vaccination, 3.3% (3) convulsed after presenting a thermal increase, 1.1% (1) presented respiratory distress and 2.2% (2) presented sagging in the lower limb. CONCLUSIONS: The present study was able to identify reactions and secondary events to vaccination in children of 2 months of age born and vaccinated at the Regional Hospital of Loreto from August to October 2019, these events and clinical manifestations referred by the mother were not reported at Vaccination service so these cases were not investigated and therefore is not in the post vaccination surveillance registry of Loreto Regional Hospital.
